I know, you are saying guys it's been months since you did your maiden voyage. You are right! As you may recall, we had to do a little breaking and entering on our first trip. Well it took several weeks to locate a replacement window. Then we had a visit from Hurricane Irma. We are insurance agents, so claim calls and follow ups have been the priority.
Rainbow Springs Campground in beautiful Dunnellon Florida was our next trip, and we had a really nice stay.
Rainbow Springs State Park is home to three facilities, including a day-use area with the headsprings and nature trails, a tube rental facility, and the campground. The campground has 60 sites for both RVers and tent campers. Rainbow Springs is Florida's fourth largest freshwater spring and feeds the Rainbow River, popular for swimming, snorkeling, canoeing and kayaking.
The campground has full hookups, an activity center, bath house, playground for the kiddos and a boatlaunch picnic area.
We didn't get into the water this trip, but we did have a nice hike on the Nature trail, which was a leisurely walk along a well marked path
Rainbow Springs Campground gets 4 Paws, we will be coming back!
